Description Press cuttings: “Political Speeches 4 June 1891- 10 June 1892”. Containing reports of speeches by various politicians both Conservative and Liberal at political meetings and demonstrations, and some letters to The Times. The volume appears to be a general collection of speeches, with only a fraction being directly related to Sir Charles Cayzer's early political activities as he prepared to contest the Barrow election. These can be found on pp153, 156, 175 (a speech given by the sitting Barrow MP, Mr Duncan) and 179 ff. In addition a small cutting (possibly from the Times, circa 28 January 1892) on p.148, re Admiralty appointments, mentions Naval cadet Augustus B.T. Cayzer's appointment to the Trafalgar.
