Description Press cuttings: “Barrow in Furness and North Lonsdale Elections July 1895”. This album contains extensive coverage of the 1895 Barrow campaign and results. Candidates were Charles Cayzer (the winner), W.C. Bannerjee (Liberal) and Pete Curran (Labour). Cuttings contain reports on meetings, speeches, letters to press etc. There are also reports on campaign activities, speeches etc of various other constituencies, and at t the end of the volume are reports of the launch of HMS Powerful in Barrow, and of the opening of Ulverston Infants' School, both undertaken by the Duchess of Devonshire, in July 1895
