Description Slim notebook containing notes on expenditures made by Sir Charles Cayzer from his personal bank account, by month, for the year 1897. Each entry comprises the date, the person or institution to whom payment was made, and the amount. Entries have subsequently been coded in the left margin to indicate where each expenditure has been applied - house, garden, personal, individual children's allowances or school fees, and so on. Includes monthly summaries, and half-yearly summaries at the back of the book. The book appears to have been kept by Sir Charles himself, as a personal aide-memoire.
